Minimum requirements for applicants
  • High school diploma or equivalency if possible
  • Aged 17.5 to 26
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Able to meet the State of California EMS Bureau EMT Background Guidelines.

As part of the application process, you will eventually need to upload the following documents. You can begin the application process now, save your progress, and upload the documents as you have them.

  1. High school diploma or equivalency if possible
  2. High school transcript
  3. A letter of recommendation from a non-family member

We prepare young people for careers in emergency medical services. 

During the 5 month program, students are paid a stipend as they receive life coaching and mentorship from trained professionals, FireFighters, Paramedics, and EMTs.
The program experience combines:
  • Curriculum designed around students' skills and abilities
  • Supports students' need to succeed
  • Assistance finding jobs after they graduate
Applicants should be aged 18 to 26, live in the state of California, have a high school diploma or equivalency, have a valid Driver's License, and be able to meet the State of California EMS Bureau EMT Background Guidelines..
